Our Community
At Sew On, we’re all about fostering a community through togetherness, inclusivity, education, and sustainability. Here’s a small glimpse of what awaits you when you become a part of our family and sew together a better world!
I spent two Sundays at her studio where she walked me through the whole making and care of the pads. I came away with ten customized pads that I have been using ever since!!
They are so comfortable and easy to clean. I can’t see myself ever wanting to go back to disposable products. I’ve already started making more!!!
Thank you again for having me and sharing your knowledge!

I had used some reusable pads already and wanted more but they are quite expensive. I am a sewer and heard about this workshop. I learned how to sew pads. I like these self made pads more than the bought ones. I love them!

I have been using the pads and they have been great! I’m hesitant to use my period underwear as they sit tightly over the c-section scar and the pads are such a great option!

One of our partners is the Max Kuma Community Development Foundation in Nigeria. They provide vocational training for Cameroonian refugees in Oron and Uyo in the state of Akwa Ibom, close to the Cameroonian border. Christine has taught the trainers for craft and tailoring how to sew pads. We have now received our first testimonial from trainee Mercy Motiti who is passionate about the pads in a community under economical pressure.
