Sew On began as a small, but powerful idea to spread awareness about sustainable and personalised period care. Over time, thanks to passionate individuals like you, it has grown into a vibrant community, driven by shared values of freedom, knowledge, growth, and caring for our bodies and the environment.

But, to keep this momentum going, we need your help!

Here’s how you can do your bit and spread the word about sustainable period care:

Our mission of achieving sustainable period care isn’t an overnight change. It is a cultural shift that requires time, commitment, and support of pioneers who are ready to lay the foundations for future generations to follow. Join us for #ATrialPeriod by volunteering to test out our reusable pads and giving us your invaluable feedback and insights into how we can make our pads better, more user-friendly, inclusive, and accessible. Be the change you want to see in the world!

Join us every Tuesday at the Loom Room in Dunedin and help sew pads for the wider community and yourself! Every self sewn pad is made from reused, prewashed cotton and a breathable, waterproof layer of PUL, making menstruation as plastic-free and chemical-free as possible. If you have specific cultural needs around your periods, let us know and we can discuss how to accommodate you.

Donations are never asked for, but every contribution goes to paying the bills and keeping our machines running!
